Explorer – 2250 Series

Carbon Strong. Feather Light.

TrickAir Explorer, developed for aircraft between 1500 and 2500 pounds gross weight, is the lightest wheel-penetration ski on the market for Super Cub and Citabria aircraft. It offers the same great features as the Sport 1500 but with a bigger footprint. The shaped base, made of high-molecular, slick plastic, extends the ski profile without excess pounds, offering the perfect balance between flotation and weight. The wheels are offset to the outside of the ski to minimize snow build up.

As with all TrickAir skis, the Explorer is constructed of lightweight carbon fiber vinylester composite materials that are stronger than steel and aluminum but a fraction of the weight. The skis have been tested at room temperature and down to -65 F to meet and exceed TSO-C28 requirements.

You will find these skis easy to handle, operating equally well on paved runways and deep backcountry powder. The TrickAir Explorer is the best all-around option if you’re seeking adventure—but not looking to become a professional backcountry pilot.
